LA County Beaches & Harbors runs the Surfrider Beach parking lot, and LA County lifeguards cover the beach. Malibu Pier Partners runs the restaurant, shops and events on the Malibu Pier (malibupier.com). The Santa Monica Bay Audubon Society leads the monthly bird walks, and the Santa Monica Resource Conservation District runs guided school field trips at the lagoon.
